It is important to note that all glass fountains are made from either soda-lime or borosilicate glass (aka boron crystal). Borosilicate is much stronger and lighter than soda-lime. It will also have fewer flaws in the glass. If you need a cheap fountain for 1 or 2 uses, soda lime will be fine. If you plan on keeping your fountain, you'll want to consider borosilicate crystal. NOTE: Avoid ebay and Amazon for ANY absinthe accessory. Like many of their products, absinthe accessories on Amazon and auction sites are often poor quality knock-offs. |

Absinthe Fountain - How Many Spouts

After you decide on metal or glass, next you will decide on the number of spigots your fountain will have. Metal fountains are available in 2, 4 and 6 spouts while glass fountains come with 1, 2, 4 and 6 spout styles.
The number of spigots you require will depend on a few things:
-How many people will be using the fountain. For smaller events, 2-5 people, a single spout or dual spout absinthe fountain will be sufficient. Once you get to 6 or more people, you may want to consider a 6 spout fountain. Keep in mind the fountain will only be used to prepare the absinthe.

-Where will you keep the fountain when not in use. Most people display their absinthe fountain when not in use. You'll want to make certain the fountain will fit and look appropriate where you plan to display it. Always consider both the height and depth of the fountain you are considering.
-Will you be transporting your absinthe fountain. If you plan on traveling with your fountain, you may want to consider an all glass style. They are much lighter and less delicate than a metal absinthe fountain. If you will be traveling with a metal absinthe fountain, be sure and keep the box it was shipped in to keep it safe while on the move.
